We are thrilled to unveil our latest collaboration under the Poppies Exclusive brand: a fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern artistry. This unique collection brings together the timeless weaving skills of the Penan women of Ulu Baram and the creative genius of self-taught multi disciplinary artist, Nia Latif, based in Kuching, Sarawak.

Nia, whose life purpose is rooted in "Serving Through Creativity," brings her passion and multidimensional approach to art to elevate these handwoven items. For the first time, Penan Women’s woven baskets have been transported to Kuching, where Nia applies her signature touch. Each item is meticulously hand-painted with acrylic, sealed with two clear coats of modge podge for enhanced durability and waterproofing.

This collaboration is part of Nia’s Constellation Series, which includes 333 original art pieces. Her 8x8 framed art pieces, symbolizing how individual creations can multiply—much like the stars, wildflowers, and the connections we build are available at Wonderboom.

This collection offers a fresh take on Penan crafts, bringing them into a new artistic dimension while supporting sustainable practices and preserving traditional heritage.
